By the looks of things, that guy with the chain around his neck is on a block of ice. So I'm guessing there's something to do with putting out a fire or the guy's going to get hung?

Can't really say what's going on here. Two people on a wide plank over some sort of pit. Maybe the one whose face we can see has to save the one with the chains on the block of ice or...vice versa? Doesn't look like mister Chain Man can step down without choking himself. Intriguing.

When the ice melts the guy hangs -- the melted ice (now water) tops off the catch basin and the guy in the chair gets electrocuted.

That or this is really a still from the new Creature from the Black Lagoon movie... In which case the creature pops up out of thewater and eats tem both.

We are prob not going to find out who the killer is until the last scene like Saw 1 & 2. Thats the cliffhanger that leads into part 5. Part 6 will prob have no twist like part 3.

dude its Dr Gordon doing it hes the new Jigsaw i have this crazy idea hes been in it since the first one and it was pre planned for him to cut his leg off and everything i mean those guys are sick in teh head they found his pen at one of the traps that could show that he set it up that he was part of it from the beggining it makes sense

Ive had a thought, it cant be long until the trailer comes out and all the other trailers had jigsaw talking on them. So im guessing if jigsaw "pre-planned" this and set it all up we'll hear some quotes from him on it. And if he died and someone else is doing this we won't get a voice over...altho a saw trailer without jigsaws voice would just be weird...

The guy sitting in the chair is Jeff, and the other guy is a new test subject. As for what the trap itself is, i agree with Mind of Jigsaw.

I was reading about the comicon and they showed this trap, WARNING SPOILERS!!!! one guy has his eyes sewn together and the other hs his mouth sewn shut. They both have collars around their necks that are connected to chains. There is a machine in between them pulling them closer together while at the same time tightening there collars. The blind guy fings a weapon like an axe and ahook thingy and he starts blindly swinging. the mute guy sees a key on the other guys neck Time is running out and the guys are slowly being pulled together. The mute man eventually ends up killing the blind man and gets the key. he takes his collar offonly to realize theat the collars is connected to the strings holding his mouth closed...RIP!

ok, i know that this doesn't have anything to do with the picture, but i'm just gonna throw this out to see how many responses and questions arise; what happened to danny ( eric matthews' son), and what is on the tape that jigsaw poured the wax on towards the end of saw 3? i thought that jigsaw was pouring the wax on the tape that angus mcfaden was listening to at the end of SAW III, but if you pay close attention the small pile of wax is still there. please give feedback. i wanna see if we can figure the movie out before it hits theaters because i will be in basic training and unable to watch it until the 3rd week it is out!!!!!

and another thing. before jeff slashes jigsaw's throat at the end of SAW III, jigsaw looks him right in the face and says," you can't kill me jeff". i'm not sure if it's just a metophorical statement, but it made me get that feeling that jigsaw meant something behind it

well firstly this is my first post =D secondly, loki is incorrect, but corrected themselves by saying it might be another trap, which it is, the trap that he/she described is indeed another trap as i have seen the footage, not as brutal as it sounds but still slightly graphical =D thirdly, i would like to point out that the man on the block of ice is a reference to the old "logical" question of "you walk into a room and find a man dead hanging from a rope with a puddle underneath him, there were no ladders or anything to help him get there or put the rope up, how did he die?" with the answer being he stood on a block of ice and waited for it to melt, exactly what is happening here, except for we know that this isn't suicide (otherwise removing the story elements out of all of the saw films) and he also has his hands tied together (by the looks of where the other chains are going) probably meaning that he is the one who needs to be saved when the man in the chair (most likely drugged) wakes up also i disagree with the "electrocution" theory as you are most likely referring to the blue thing in the background, which more appears to be like a light that would hang from a ceiling in a factory (those big fluro ones) and not some kind of electronic pulse machine thingy =P and to anyone who thinks that either of these 2 figures are female, you must be plain stupid or they are the manliest females i've ever seen!! and one more thing, i agree with whoever gave the theory of the liquid underneath them is some kind of acid, looks pretty lethal to me!! oh and one more final thing as i just looked at the picture again...it seems to me that the thing in the middle is one of those jet gas heaters which may increase the melting time of the ice blocks causing some kind of chain reaction involving a hanging or a head being misplaced!! or of course it could be something as simple as a light due to over analysing =P argh! can't wait for it!!! =D
