We have just confirmed this as the real deal, check out the first international (UK) poster for Darren Lynn Bousman's Saw IV, which I'm sure will debut at the San Diego Comic Con this weekend. Thumbs up to Lionsgate for another breathtaking piece of art. Read on to check it out and check out Saw IV in theaters everywhere on October 26. Watch for our Comic Con coverage this weekend.

What do you think? Cool huh?

"Breathtaking piece of art"? Only if you've forgotten how badass horror movie posters were in the 70s and 80s...

Couldnt agree more, the 70s posters are the best of all time.

lolz i have to say... that is pretty pathetic, it makes no sence, plus also the logos of saw are always in a sentence like number one was every puzzle has its pieaces and number 2 was oh yes, there will be blood and number 3 was suffering? you haven't see anything yet. plus also on each top of the cover they had a saw blade running across the top where it says the comments of other ppl liek for number 3 it was better then saw 1 and saw 2 combinded by steve tilley, toronto sun. if you see what i mean. and also they have a number of parts of the body for each cover, number one was a foot or an eye peeking through the jigsaw pieace for the promotional short version number 2 was 2 fingures and number 3 was 3 teeth and all this one was is a head, i dont think it is at all in anyways if you ask me, the team can do way better then that pieace of fictional crap!

and also in the very background where the light soft grey fade area is on the covers of all the other saws they are just plain white backgrounds abnd the person whoever made that would of only put the greyness in the background just to make it look more authentic, i've checked em all the similarities really don't match up at all.

It's a trap??? Well no sh*% I think we know that by now. The only people falling into this trap are the people paying to watch it.

I'll gladly put my head in the middle of the trap and let it SNAP!! This flick comes out ON my b-day, and I haven't seen any of the Saw films in the theater. I've liked (and own) the first 3, so this one gets the big screen for sure. I do however think the poster is phony. Not because of the "number of body parts" or "saw blades", but because Lionsgate knows better than to leave themselves wide open for ridicule on an already chastised movie series. "It's a trap." sounds more like somebody's opinion mixed with handy dandy Photo Shop. Not like the official tagline. They might as well say "Saw IV: Down the tubes." Cool pic though.

This is why the horror genre is failing again cause morons like these people here have to complain about everything. Yes 70s and 80s movie were the best but its 2007 and we have to support what we get now or we'll be first to watch nothing but Grudge and Ring and all that PG-13 crap in theatres. Losers!

It's a trap, mmm? I went to the Saw4.com Web site and that was definitely a trap. Was not pleased. I hope this means that they'll put more action "in the moment" instead of those explanatory aha flashbacks. This poster gives me a little hope for the movie...

its a trap ... but i like the poster im sad so ...

i bet the guy that died wasent jig it was his twin thats the trap hes ALIVE lol

Deathbat

LoL, I was thinking that n0rman_666. Except without the whole twin thing. I mean, Jigsaw's heads severed there which lets us continue to believe he's dead. Yet at the same time, the tagline 'It's a trap' leads me to believe that the poster's misleading and Jigsaw's miraculously alive.

would donny wahlberg be happier if they used him on the poster?

I like it. I thought the first 3 Saw movies were good. This one has my interest because it will make or break this series depending on where they go with the story. So hopefully it's good.

for all your people looking for the 4: The weighing scales is on an 8. It is Saw IV. Half of 4 is 2. 8 divided by 2 is 4. BOOYA.

I dunno, ive always had a feeling saw 4 would incude parts of jigsaws body and scales for part of jeffs new puzzle. It was just they way jigsaw said "tools to extract your pound of flesh" at the end of saw 3. Even if the posters a fake i'd still say it's probably pretty close guess as to what jeff has to do to get to his daughter. It'll probably involve jeff having to extract a pound of his own flesh in return tho! That would be cool to watch!

Meh...I don't really like it. Besides, it'll never get past the MPAA.

chrisby
1:33pm, July 25, 2007

yeh you can also tell that its not the offical poster by the The weighing scales, if it was original it would be on the 4 and also the red pointer pointing to the 8 in the middle is also obviously computer generated u can tell by its shading underneath, and all other saw covers are the actual props.

chrisby
1:37pm, July 25, 2007

also jigsaw had part of his head shaven before lynn cut into his brain and where the bandage is it doesnt add up plus they would of put blood seeping throguh the bandages or sutmhing i reckon.

South_park300

considering the average human head weighs 8 pounds, it would make NO sense for it to be on 4. if it was on 4, it would catch a lot more complaints. i really like the poster
