Donnie Wahlberg Returns For 'Saw IV'... And He's Pissed!

It appears that Lionsgate has more tricks up their sleeve than already revealing the director for the next two Saw films following the release of Saw IV on October 26 (story here). We had been informed that Donnie Wahlberg did have a role in Darren Bousman's latest effort, but like last year, were told it was untrue. It appears Wahlberg is in fact in the film... and pissed about it. Read on for the skinny.

Bring it on! I want Saw V, VI, VII...

From Rotten Tomatoes:

Most actors are happy when they get asked back to a role. Not Donnie Wahlberg. Though left for dead at the end of Saw II, he was granted more screen time in Saw III. That seemed to be the end, but it looks like there's more Wahlberg in Saw IV.

"Yeah, I got a scene in it," said Wahlberg. "They kept me alive. I told them I wanted to die in part three and they took out my death. I just lie there and nothing happens."

[Spoiler alert]

Even Jigsaw died in Saw III but he's back. The filmmakers are keeping a tight lip on the timeframe that allows such actors to return, but Wahlberg was so annoyed that he spilled that officer Matthews still exists in present tense.

"No, they kept me alive. I don't want to talk about it."

Perplexed? You've got a few months to marinate on it, until Saw IV makes its way into theaters on October 26.

I find this interesting. I would imagine that if he really is in the film he's been told not to discuss anything about it, but yet he did. I wonder if this is more false information to throw us off track of what the real story could be. If Wahlberg is really in the movie, he shouldn't have discussed the film until he was suppose. What a douche!

he the new killer. it's obvious. put all your thoughts of Dr. Gordon or Ms. Jigsaw being the new bad buy to rest. Jigsaw made Matthews appreciate life, by saving him and letting him know his son was ok. Maybe he'll even get up off the floor at the end of the movie after we think he's dead - like in Saw 1 - reborn. Wahlberg would not take a second bit part like he did in Saw 3 - i don't buy it.

LOLZ! i so knew it, only complete morons wouldn't understand jigsaws last words to amanda about her killing people and how she left him for dead, but obviously erik has got somthing to do with it. before he died he said that he cleaned up after her mistakes, obviously he did somhow. and he'll be another part of the test, maybe it's rigg who saves him, but if so whos that chick in the chair with the female pig mask and long leather boots looknig at the photos??????

He's an actor, he's not in the mob. He could have said "no, cast someone else, I'm done". But hey, his pain is my please since I enjoy the movies and thought he was good. Wish I hadn't read that spoiler though, even though we all kinda knew it.

Zombie, not true. Tobin Bell has a contract making him stick on until 6, Donnie might have a similar clause.

Hey...I was correct. I posted in the plot synopsis section that I knew Donnie was in Saw 4 so it ain't a real spoiler. I think this may be a trick, Donnie and Darren get along quite well I have read and I doubt he would mess up Saw 4 by giving too much away. I don't see him being the new killer..I think he may be the one Rigg has to save. That would be in the present. Jigsaw will be alive in another storyline(remember Darren has said there are 4 separate stories) and it will all tie together. Has anyone ever wondered if Jigsaw was Amanda's father? Or why alot of his victims are either cops or criminals? There will be alot of back story I think. Plus Donnie say he has a scene in it..."A" scene. Like one last thing to do maybe...I just can't see him as the killer!!! And if he did ruin some of the fun for us...what an idiot!!!

I'd have been more pissed about playing a bumbling idiot detective in a shitty movie known as Dead Silence. His talent was totally wasted.

Alls i know is that i happy hes coming back but like the others said we all knew really its not like its a spoiler and i am happy because eric owns jigsaw and amanda i meen he nearly killed both of them single-handedly...thats why Eric is the man and perhaps one of the best characters in this series GO ERIC!!!

seriously.....i cant wait for this movie...im going to die of anticipation

i think it makes sense for him to be revealed as the new killer at the end of the movie - he's one of the few characters we would all accept at this point. Rigg might THINK he has to save him through the whole movie, and when he finally does, the twist is that Matthews actually is the new killer. Recap the last 3 movies...game over Rigg...

lolz ummm i've read like all the forums the funny thing is that i think im the only one who actually knows who the new jigsaw, well i should after watching each movie 2 times just to try and recover it but yeh. just incase you haven't figured it out it's zep from the first saw, how do i know this you ask. only number one showed him be hit with that toilet block and that was it but in the other saws, his body has completely disapeared and they show nothing else of him.

and if you think that's impossible that he could of survived look what erik did to amanda in number 3 when he smashes her head against the wall, techincally that would of crushed your temple but she survived. and zep was his first apprentice if u listen to his words carefully althoguh he was injected by jigsaw but he did look really pittiful and weak plus hes also ben off Lost which means he'd still be a good actor, i dunno what you think but all of what i've done researches to either betsy russel (Jill) or Zep.

also what is it with jigsaw and farthers? like in number one he has lawrence gordon (which we so better find the rest about before i start to hate saw) and having his daughter and wife captive by zep and in number 3 hes got jeffs daughter to play a game for her, both cases have to play a game for their loved ones but mainly little daughters, i mean its a great weakness but theres more out there then just a little daddys girl.

What version of Saw 2 did you watch chrisby? In my version when they reach the bathroom at the end it zooms in on a foot with a quote from Dr Gordon echoing in the background, then Adams corpse with a quote from Adam in the background, and then Zepp's corpse with Zepp saying "Im going to kill your husband mrs gordon"...

DaDon719

Yeh Joe Your Right i Meen chrisby wat the hell version were you watching becuz yeh they did show him at the end of saw 2 just like Joe said, and they even showed him in the beginning of 3 when Matthews was lookin for a way out before he smashes his foot off so yeh wat were you doin watchin them off YOUTUBE

to the last two posts on here, I have Saw 2 Unrated and they don't show Dr.Gordon's foot zoomed in or anything, so im guessing that you guys have the rated R version then??

chrisby
10:52am, July 22, 2007

well adams body is in the corner, then u see dr, gordons foot but i didnt see zepp at all.and in number 3 i watched specificaly they didnt. so ur in the wrong in that 1 and in number 2 they dotn show him there when they cut they guys thraot at the end. maybe its just a fault in the movie then, i dunno anymore.

Thats quite odd, my saw 2 is just the first version that came out here in the uk, it hasn't got anything like "unrated" on it like saw 3 did. Are different versions released for different countries or somthing?

im sick of saw anyways,it was one of the best horros ever made and now they've completely destroyed it they could of done so much better, like explain some origins. they should of stopped at saw 3 or at least made it a better movie.

donnie wahlberg is a big baby..... he's part of one of the biggest horror movie franchises in history and hes mad that he didnt die.... screw em... have his brother do it, then he can go back to singin with the rest of the new kids on the block and the movie will probably go up in ratings... i hate that shit... these actors and actresses get parts for all these great movies that everybody loves and they complain. they can all go to hell
