It has been years since the rumors began, and now here we sit in 2007 still begging 20th Century Fox to get the cameras rolling on the long awaited X-Files 2, which has been teased to the fans non-stop this past year. Today news came courtesy of David Duchovny from Showtime’s Television Critics Association event here in Los Angeles that the film is getting close and that a script has been completed. Read on to see what other facts he revealed.
Aint it Cool News broke down the important notes from an article over at Premium Hollywood:
* Duchovny says he’s supposed to get the script next week.
* Duchovny says the script is by Chris Carter (who created the series and wrote the last movie) and veteran series writer-producer Frank Spotnitz.
* Duchovny says Carter intends to make his big-screen directorial debut with the project.
I'm as big an X-phile out there as anyone else, but I'm sorry. I'll have to see it to believe it. I've been seeing delays forever, and am very skeptical.
