Besides the party footage going up on BDTV tomorrow, I'm happy to say we're finally done promoting After Dark Films' Captivity, which is sounding more and more like an uber-disaster. Thanks for the support, guys. I thought this movie sucked balls. Mr. Happy just bought Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants on Criterion 2-disc DVD, so fuck 'im.
Maybe not captivating but this film is far better than many critics and reviewers would have you believe!
Especially those who rave on about Hostel and its great "twist"? Pretty sure there have been similar films, stories like that around for ages.
Captivity is hardly original, the idea of being kidnapped and waking up and not knowing where you are has been done in Saw, House of 9, in Cube and about a dozen other movies.
It does have a slight twist if your a RETARD, but way too obvious if you have seen this type of film before, but it is still a watchable horror overall.
Nothing groundbreaking but not the worst movie ever made either.
So if you like Hostel, Saw, House of 9 Vacancy or Funny Games you should sadly enjoy this too.
