Today the first official poster was released from director James Wan's (Saw, Dead Silence) latest effort, Death Sentence, which hits theaters August 31. The story centers on a father out for revenge after his family is attacked in a senseless and heinous gang-initiation crime. The father enacts a death sentence on each perpetrator involved with the crime.
Hmmmmm, this movie seemed to come out of nowhere. I still haven't seen any promotion besides this poster. Not to mention, Wan's last movie was just in theaters not too long ago. I'm sure this will be interesting.
I just watched the trailer and it looks awesome. One thing was kind of funny though. They play the 28 Days/Weeks Later theme at the end. The irony that the poster looks similar.
Did I miss something? No one here said it was a rip off. All I was saying was that it looks similar. Nothing more. I was just pointing out the irony that both films were produced by Fox Atomic, Both have the same scheme in there posters and they both used the same theme. I could care less if they use red and black in all there posters! It's there decision, there movie to do what they want to it.
