Today Ron Zombie posted two new images from his remake of Halloween, one featuring Michael Myers and another with Laurie Strode in peril. The film hits theaters everywhere on August 31 and rumors around the web are indicating that the new trailer for the film will be attached to prints of After Dark Films' Captivity on July 13. After being committed for 17 years, Michael Myers, now a grown man and still very dangerous, is mistakenly released from the mental institution (where he was committed as a 10 year old) and he immediately returns to Haddonfield, where he wants to find his baby sister, Laurie. Anyone who crosses his path is in mortal danger.
Pics don't tell the story. Everyone knows since Zombie is in charge everyone is going to meet their untimely demise in a bad way, so I just try to place the pics I see in conjunction to the original movie (if applicable). I don't have anything better to do.
What's the big deal. Really? It generates excitement for a movie that most seem to be hating. So to put up pics and such to me is to show the people who are having trouble accepting this remake to at least give it a shot. People need to accept the fact that these are in fact movies! Nothing more, nothing less. To hold them on such a pedestal is crazy. Bitch and whine for what? If you hate it so much then don't watch it and don't give me the excuse that Rob is fucking with a masterpiece! If that statement held any kind of credibility the the original has been tarnished beyond recognition due to the fact that most of the sequels blew! The original will always be a great movie no matter how many sequels or remakes come from it. It would be like like saying that the original Dracula sucks because of the tons of remakes, sequels, rehashes that followed. Very narrow way to look at things and to think this is only a movie!
Too funny...ppl pissing & moaning over EVERY little detail about a movie that hasnt come out yet,its a RE-TELLING folks,things are not gonna be like the original, give it a chance ,it may shed a whole new light on the story. (the REAL story,not all that celtic legend,telepathy w/ my uncle crap!)
Even if by chance it sucks, at least Zombie had the balls to try something different,instead of the 253648596000th PG-13 remake,if it werent for ppl taking chances ,the original wouldnt be around,so stop ur senseless bitching....
I say to all the pros and cons, let's see the new trailer and then start the debate. I'll say the pictures and stills we have seen the last few months are really good. It has a classic, yet new feel to it. A picture says a thousand words, so let's see the S.O.B. , then talk how awesome or horrible it was. I'm just trying to keep the peace in the name of HORROR !!
all u halloween and zombie haters need to shut the fuck up. the movie isnt even out yet and you r already bashing it. of course it isnt the original and it will never be, as rob says its his own vision and his own take. i am going into it knowing it will be different than the original im look at the psycho remake for christ sake.
The trailer was badass and I got faith in Rob. He's diehard enough about horror to know whats great and whats shit.
