Some crazy new Intel came into B-D this morning as we've been informed that Rob Zombie has been hard at work filming new material for his remake of Halloween, which is slated for release on August 31. Today ended seven straight days of grueling filming around the Los Angeles area, which included the addition of six, count 'em, six new death sequences! The film has been given a serious boost in violence, gore and bloodshed... but that's not the big news - we received word that an entire new finale has been shot. Details are mum on what is different, but we're told the new ending is quite gruesome!! Watch for the return of Michael Myers in classic fashion in only two months. Click the title above for more news, pics, the trailer and poster.

I guess that test screening didn't go as well as planned. Could explain the recent rash of new castings...

actually these were just scenes that he felt were needed to be put in.. leslie easterbrook and bill mosely are playing security guards at the asylum, sid haig is playing a graveyard care taker. if you look at the offical myspace he puts all the information on there.

I now fear that RZ is goin to completely fuck up this entire movie... i dont wanna see any comic relief from any firefly which is what im pretty much expecting from those assholes nor do i really wanna see a shit load of gore ROB you did say you wanted to focuz on terror you fuckin ass!I was very excited when i first heard the news and saw the pics and the trailer but now with all this bullshit and casting i have come to the conclusion that why not just have TINY play michael myers... him and tyler mane are pretty much the same size i hate you rob

Drearrives, fuck up the movie in what context? That its not John Carpenters Halloween or that you're making outlandish comments on a movie you havent seen yet? I'm sure that all the people who I see just bitching, soaking in self pity over RZ's Halloween, will have so many preassumptions that it will continue to taint not only their lack of venturing into the unknown, but their shallow ability to have a free and clear mind as well. Typecasting actors, assuming they'll have the same role in a film previously with the same director is a shitty attitude as well. Its whack jobs with those assumptions that often stalk Actors/Actresses, thinking that they are indeed the part in any film, its getting sad. Matthew McGrory passed away a couple of years ago, so once again you ignorant, close minded, freeloading, empty egg shell of a human, please exit before you enter. Not all of us in this world want to be taken down with it as it implodes, mainly due to the weakminds that are cluttering, and polluting it for the rest of it with their immobile judgments.

this movie is going to be awesome I dont care what anyone says, I have a feeling though that most people are going to say its horrible jsut cause they are going with the cliche that all remakes are bad regardless if its good ornot but either way im still going to see the movie 3 times in theatres

Uh.... BD: Did you shoot multiple endings for this? RZ: I never shoot multiple anything. You have to know what you’re attempting to do. Movies with multiple endings are always horrible, because other people get involved and people start weighing in with their thoughts suddenly people think its like open to committee where everyone’s like ‘well I think you should do this!” And you just have to be like: This is the ending and that’s the ending.

The original was awesome and it did not have ANY gore in it. That was what separeted it from other horror films at the time. Gore is used to shock, but Halloween was scary without it. My guess is RZ decided to ramp up the violence to appeal to today's generation of horror fan. I'm ok with it as long as it works. I'm not concerned with re-shooting scenes or added actors. If RZ feels he's making a better film by doing so, then all blame or praise is on his shoulders. It's a HUGE risk he's taking. I'll save my judgement as always til I see it.

Your transformation is nearly complete, my friend.....Soon, very soon Sauron and Johnny shall unite in a wave of literary terror and darkness, smiting all pretentious things ROB.....So, now our little general has absolutely NO clue what's going on with the movie. We have a flurry of emergency castings and reshoots attempting to salvage what was mysteriously coined 'a very successful test screening.' How successful you ask? So successful that tey have to rework the entire third act despite NUMEROUS juvenile and comical attempts by ROB's Friends to spin it in the happiest possible light.....Nice catch with the general's hypocisy 'JGrayland.....' Sauron

Blah blah, hate, blah. Jesus. Are we still having people rain down on a movie they haven't even seen yet? What makes me smile is that i have watched people blast away at a particular movie for over a year, all crying about it being 'different from the original concept' and destroying their image of how things 'used to be' and then BOOM the movie comes out and all the haters are left speechless. I'm talking about a certain Transformers movie here, which has had nothing but rave reviews since its release, and left the negative ones alomost completely converted. Moral of that little story? Dont judge RZ and his movie untill you've sat through it. Evening Sauron, long time....still fighting the good fight?

I do have my application ready in hand to join the Dark Side (I like The Legion of Doom), IF necessary. I will say as I have many times before, I do hope this is a good movie, not for any affection for the director, again, I don't care about RZ's past or present, just for the fact I love the Michael character and would really like to see him scare the hell out of me as he did 29 years ago. So many horror films today dissapoint. In a world today where remakes are the norm, this is one that I want to be good because of my appreciation of the Michael Myers character. He's so beyond Jason, Freddy and Leatherface, Pinhead, whoever! ROB, PLEASE DON'T DISSAPOINT ME!!!!!

Sauron pauses amidst his terrible anger, for a new fear has crept into his conscious being. A fear and a doubt of some intangible that may re-emerge as a powerful ally for those forces that would seek to challenge his authority. Sauron now seeks to gather all of his forces to meet the emergence of this powerful foe.......................Evening Daveberg, we meet again. That very fact alone should increase viewership on these very boards. Think of the possibilities: A perfect triangulation of the vastly divergent voices and opinions of Sauron, Jonny, and Daveberg. Ladies and Gentlemen, I sense that things are about to get a lot more interesting in these very parts.....(and I mean that in the nicest way possible. Palay anyone???) Sauron

What a bunch of circle jerk fanboys... If Rob told you to jump off a bridge, you would do it. Go and jack off to pictures of him.

I should have prepared some kind of drum roll or showdown music for my return. Apologies for the long absence, life has been hectic. Anyways, not too sure on my feelings towards the re-shoot, trouble in paradise maybe? From what i read on the information super highway, some of the test screening reviews weren't too bad, but hey, just like the tabloids, you can never believe what you read...I'm all for Myers reigning down the terror and spilling the blood, the more action i get from him, perhaps the better, but at the cost of suspense and an ominous atmosphere, hmmm, i'm sure you've got some feedback on this Sauron...

Jakktheripper
6:42pm, June 30, 2007

i fuckin cant wait for this movie to come out...man a movie's a movie, especially when its remade, i'm pretty sure Rob Zombie and John Carpenter both have way different approaches to what they think a good horror movie should be like...so quit fuckin bitchin!
