Producer Ric Osuna is back again with more Amityville Horror goodies as he's prepping a new documentary on the history of The Amityville Murders. The new doc will include re-enactments of sequences from the infamous '74 Amityville Murders that launched the "Amityville Horror" hoax - yes, for those of you who didn't know, it was revealed to be a hoax. This will be Ric's directorial debut as he produced History's Mysteries: Amityville: The Haunting (2000) and wrote the book "The Night The Defeos Died" (2002). If anyone can bring us a in-depth doc on the infamous case it's Mr. Osuna. Watch for more details as they come in.
What they need to do is release a box set with all the documentaries from all the past DVD releases, as well as unreleased Documentary.
Then film a documentary on all the movies including the new one and how it has had an impact on the people and on the cast and crew who were in them.
Doesn't anyone do their research anymore? The Amityville haunting (or not, depending on what side of the camp you are on) has never been "revealed to be a hoax". No, the individuals who lived in the house - the Lutzs - stuck by their story 100%, despite going through a divorce, until the day they died.
And anyone with half a brain knows that Ric Osuna is about as legitimate as a three dollar bill.
Ric Osuna was a co-producer for the History Channel documentaries "Amityville: The Haunting" and "Amityville: Horror or Hoax". During this time Mr Osuna was a friend and die-hard believer of the haunting ... and after a falling out with George Lutz there followed what is referred to by some as a "flip flop" ... where in a short period of time Mr Osuna went from being a passionate believer of the haunting to an absolute sceptic! Majority of people will look into this with an open mind and get both sides of the argument rather than believe one side over the other rather than have a biased view based on the claims of one individual. It is recommended that a person should look into the WHY's of Mr Osuna's claims.
I personally cannot wait to see a documentary if it exposes the Lutz Hoax machine. Not only have innocent family members of the murdered Defeos surfaced due to The Lutz's absurd claims, but a whole peaceful community still feels the wraith of the idiots that venture to Amityville in hopes of catching a glipse of an entity.
I find it a tad strange that everyone who followed George on his ghost crusade eventually had a failing out with him. Could it be because the story was crap? Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm.
