It's the battle of the "repos", who will repossess the right to claim they were first? Last night Variety broke the news that Universal Pictures was moving forward on The Repossession Mambo, claiming it has been in the works for nearly four years. So according to their own press release this has been going on since 2003. We did some digging and discovered that Repo! The Genetic Opera - which Darren Lynn Bousman will be directing this summer - was written back in 1998, and has been performed as an actual play since 2000! Want to see something even more bananas?
