On August 14th, Anchor Bay Entertainment will be re-releasing the original, truly terrifying John Carpenter’s Halloween, repackaged in an all-new, specially designed O-card, set at the low SRP of $14.98. Starring Jamie Lee Curtis, P.J. Soles and Donald Pleasance and unveiling legendary villain Michael Myers, Halloween is the definitive remembrance of genuine, pre-CGI horror cinema. Pre-book date is July 12th. The new O-card takes the iconic Halloween logo to a whole new level of cool, featuring “glowing” jack-o-lantern eyes and nose artwork.
This is one of my favorite horror but this really needs to stop. In till they release something new, is anybody really going to buy this? What happen to the alternate footage they found for the original Halloween and Halloween 2 about a year ago? They said there was a alternate ending for the original. They need to release that on dvd and a Ultimate version of Halloween 2. I think that is what Halloween fans are really waiting for.......
"Glow in the dark lantern eyes" - Well, that makes up for the missing footage we have been hoping to see... maybe 15 more DVD releases down-the-road, we'll get the Meyer's lost tracks.
In the mean-time...I really don't know who they are catering to with cheezy-packaging gimmicks(?)
No thanks,I own a VHS copy of the one with the trailers tv and radio spots and Halloween unmasked documentary, the extended dvd version and two disc 25th anniversary edition.I'm not going to waste money on another version.
