Warner has announced a 35th Anniversary edition DVD of Deliverance, which stars Jon Voight, Burt Reynolds, and Ned Beatty. DVD Active reports that this John Boorman directed film will be available to own on September 18, and should retail at $19.97. As well as a full remastered presentation, the disc will include a commentary by Boorman, a Deliverance: The Beginning feature that takes a historical look at the novel and its adaptation to the screen, a Deliverance: The Journey featurette, a Deliverance: Betraying the River featurette on one of the most controversial and ground-breaking sequences in film history, and a Deliverance: Delivered featurette that takes a reflective look back on the film and its impact. Completing the package will be an original documentary entitled Dangerous World of Deliverance that looks at the difficult conditions and challenges of making the film, and the trailer. HD DVD and Blu-ray releases will be available for $28.99.
Sounds good.Great movie,too bad so many people only know it for the rape scene though.One of the best "revenge"movies and THE best scary redneck movie of all time.
