Bloody-Disgusting learned today that Stan Winston Production and Odyssey Entertainment are prepping Speed Demon for shoot later this summr and are now casting. The film follows an underworld enforcer who hunts a small time crook on a desert highway, but he finds that he, himself, is being tracked by a mysterious, terrifying creature. Peter Winther (associate producer Independence Day, co-producer Godzilla) will step behind the camera from a script by Mike Sorrentino and Randy Vampotic. I guess we'll get an idea of how good this will be when After Dark Films releases Skinwalkers later this summer.
