Called GENESIS: APES, it's essentially a remake of CONQUEST OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, the fourth film in the original Apes cycle, which ends with the apes taking over the world from humans," reports the site. While Bold Films already has their hands full with Joe Dante's THE HOLE, we caught word that the studio is also developing an awesome new project by the name of Cedar Ave. Being written by Daniel Weissenberger and Adrian Langley, the film is a supernatural thriller in which a medical student, who never knew his father growing up, inherits his father's house after his passing. After observing several odd characteristics of the house, combined with random "bumps in the night," we learn that the young man's father was not only a serial killer, but one of his victims is still alive and trapped in the house.
Bloody Disgusting learned today that Beacon Pictures is currently developing a feature film based on F. Paul Wilson's REPAIRMAN JACK. The story is said to be a "contemporary" INDIANA JONES set in New York City where a charismatic NYC repairman battles evil forces to protect an innocent girl. The original script was written by Craig Spector (Animals), Scott Nimerfo and Trevor Sands, with the rewrite being done by Chris Morgan. Watch for more on this soon.
