Bloody-Disgusting has learned this afternoon that Costas Mandylor (pictured inside), who starred as Forensic Hoffman in both Saw II and Saw III, will be reprising his role in Lionsgate's Saw IV, which is currently lensing in Toronto, Canada. He joins Angus Macfadyen, Tobin Bell, Scott Patterson, Lyriq Bent and Justin Louis in the film, which reunited him with director Darren Lynn Bousman once again. Jigsaw still haunts the living in Saw IV, forcing them to appreciate life, or face death. As a continuation of Saw III, Jeff must find his daughter and escape the building to which they are confined before they both die. After finding another tape of Jigsaw, Jeff realizes there may be a newly added piece of the puzzle that he must decipher before it’s too late.

this is turning into the "a nightmare on elm street series" midway through when the survivors of the previous installment carried on, croaked, the survivors of that film live until the next film, die, etc...

Maybe Jigsaw will appear only in flashbacks or something, and so the presence of Tobin Bell in the cast would be explained... *uses all the wrong verbs* But this would not explain how he could appear also in a hypothetical "Saw VI"... @.@

*Err... "Saw V", not VI, sorry :P

From what I know, Jigsaw is dead. As we all know, his throat was slashed by a power saw. Jigsaw will only be appearing in flashback scenes because of this and possibly, in the beginning, in a rundown of what happened in Saw III, kind of like what Saw III did at the beginning, when it began from where Saw II left off.
