Today we received word that Dimension Films has moved up 1408 from it's July 13 date to a June 22 release - the same day After Dark Films' Captivity hits theaters. The film, which was adapted from the terrifying short story by suspense master, Stephen King, is the tale of a debunker of paranormal occurrences (John Cusack) who encounters real terror when he checks into the notorious Room 1408 at the Dolphin Hotel. Click the title above for the first batch of stills that were released earlier this week. I wonder if all of the positive buzz had anything to do with the shift?
