Seraphim Film's Joe Daley tells ShockTillYouDrop that Clive Barker has turned in a treatment for the remake of Hellraiser, which was announced last October. Sources tell the site that the manuscript consisted of forty-pages, all hand-written, which was later typed into something presentable. When the idea to update Barker's '87 adaptation, the author agreed to write and produce the film to ensure it was done the right way. In the original, Clive Barker's feature directing debut graphically depicts the tale of a man and wife who move into an old house and discover a hideous creature - the man's half-brother, who is also the woman's former lover - hiding upstairs.
Yeah, let Rob Zombie remake it so he can make even more movies that are direct rip offs of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Good thing people look up to unoriginal hacks.
I think remakes r so tireing. I am a huge zombie fan and I cant understand remakeing halloween. And Hellraiser is not even that dated. I agree with ty A remake of nightbreed would make more sense. Because of how bad that movie turened out. the story lacked alot and the monsters were a little lame but there could be more life added to that story. they should remake basket case.
Woot! I think a remake is exactly what this series needs to get back on track. I really hope Doug Bradley come back as Pinhead... other than that go Clive!
Im really glad Clive's doing the script but why remake it? Just goes to show that the studios have run out of orginal ideas.
