Well, "jkrouskop," I actually agree with you to a certain extent. "Last House On The Left" served it's purpose in it's time as being a brutal and shocking film. Take the shock and brutality away from it, and who the fuck is going to want to watch it? Because, afterall, it's just a good old revenge story with unholy amounts of violence. Classic? Not really. Serving it's purpose? Most definitely. A remake that strips away it's personality is hardly worth making at all. Obviously Craven and Co. would rather capitalize on the name without living up to the legacy, which would be something that would shake up people in a very desensitized 2007.
