In a rare public appearance, the legendary John Carpenter will lead a very special panel at this year's Tribeca Film Festival entitled Kid Slays In The Picture, which will be held on Thursday, April 26th 7 p.m. (BMCC 2). If it bleeds, it leads. Blood, guts and severed limbs have historically been box office cash cows but as Capitol Hill turns up the heat on television violence, studios and filmmakers wonder...will the big screen be next on the chopping block? Joining Carpenter (Escape from NY, Halloween) are Peter Block (President: Film Acquisitions, Lionsgate) and Jim Steyer (CEO, Founder Common Sense Media).
