MGM Home Entertainment announced via Home Media Magazine that they plan to release several direct-to-DVD projects over the next few years. We announced this past weekend that MGM is planning on remaking He Knows You're Alone, next up is a remake of the 1977 classic Audrey Rose, according to the mag. In Robert Wise's original a stranger attempts to convince a happily married couple that their daughter is actually his daughter reincarnated.
Couldn't agree more. What's truly sad is there seems to be a trend of remaking films that weren't even that good the first time around, Audry Rose being a good example. Anthony Hopkins in the original isn't enough to really warrant watching it.
