J.S. Cardone, the man who scripted The Covenant, Wicked Little Things and the upcoming Prom Night remake, has also written the screenplay for another Screen Gems remake, according to the IMDB. The website reports that Cardone was tapped to write the screenplay for The Stepfather, which was based on a true story. In the original Terry O'Quinn plays a seemingly normal man, who wants the perfect family. When they don't measure up, he eliminates them and moves on to find his next perfect family.
