Toronto After Dark Film Festival, Canada’s showcase of thrilling cinema, is pleased to announce its Call for Entries for its 2007 Edition. The festival is on the lookout for both short and feature films to showcase at its second annual edition this October in the genres of: Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Animation, Crime, Action, Documentary and Experimental. Selected films can look forward to huge support from Toronto’s large film appreciating community and significant press coverage. Last year’s inaugural festival was a huge success with over 4,000 enthusiastic film fans flocking to Toronto to see everything from wannabe slashers (BEHIND THE MASK), flying ninjas (SHINOBI) teenage zombies (NIGHT OF THE LIVING DORKS) to Swedish vampires (FROSTBITE). This year the festival expands to seven nights in (Oct. 19-25, 2007), and has more than doubled the number of awards for filmmakers, to five categories with prizes totaling $1,000 in cash. The two main deadlines for entries are May 24 (Official Deadline) and June 22 (Late Deadline).
