Shocking news, how rare is this!? After months of confirming her involvement, Rachel Weisz has officially dropped out of The Mummy 3 for Universal Pictures! The Oscar-winning actress has opted not to join her returning co-star Brendan Fraser in the China-set action-adventure, which will be helmed by Rob Cohen and will co-star Jet Li, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The studio cited scheduling conflicts for Weisz's decision not to reprise her role - although Cinemablend reports that it was because of script problems! I wonder who I believe? We'll keep you posted on her replacement, or if she's written out of the script. The Mummy 3 hits theaters July 11, 2008.
it's not worth it without her and if its something minor as schedulining conflict then delay it untill she is ready.
if she isnt in it, then forget the whole thing. but it's obviously because her profile as an actor has rising since the shit bomb part 2.
The reason why Rachel Weisz droped out of the Mummy 3 was because of the horrible script they had for it and here is the proof.

I'm sure she did leave because the script was shit, but they're not going to admit that. I'm a fan of Weisz and while I'd like to see her in the movie, it's probably for the best that she dropped out.
