Uh...now this may be a REAL stupid question, but didn't Rider Strong die in the original? And before anyone even says "Characters die and come back in horror movies all the time!"...I know that, but that's the kind of garbage that gives horror films a bad name.

It was only implied that Rider died since it showed him laying on the bank of a river. So, yes, it would be a stretch, but it could work if done correctly. By the way, am I the only person on this website who liked the first one? I haven't seen anything done by Ti West, but Eli Roth is quickly becoming one my favorite directors. It would be better if he was involved, but I'm glad to see that there will actually be a connection to the first one. I fucking hate when sequels look like they were just made for the money. That doesn't seem to be the case here.

And for all we know, Rider Strong's role could be similar to how they got Justin Long to be in Jeepers Creepers 2 despite the Creeper killing him in the first one.

it seems that alot of these directors are just using alot of blood to attract people ,i think its dumb to use that type of promotion for a film.Its not necesary 15 galons or whatever the amount of blood they use, to have a good movie.

Can't wait. I'm a fan of the first one and boy do I love blood! I'm loving the hand amputeeing. Maybe Rider will come back in a flashback. Or maybe he'll come back with Ben Savage and they'll solve it all like they always do.

I do agree with you. I hate it when sequels are made just for the money, especially when they dont even have the original actors. I am glad that Rider is going to ve returnong to the screen though,. To me he was what made that movie.
