Seriously, this film will be fucking excellant. The trailer itself is worth watching many times. I say a massive well done to RobZ for saving a sinking ship. After all, the shit that followed H1&2 was awful so this is exactly what was needed. Good man Rob.........
I as well have a good feeling about this remake. I also agree with MR. DISGUSTING that for this franchise to continue, it needed a fresh and new idea rather stock piling crappy sequels. There is alot of unexplored story to tell. Carpenter gave us an amazing film with suspense and mystery. RZ will TRY to clear up those mysteries and give us detail as to why Michael is what he is. In my opinion, that's the only way to go. What would Michael be now in a sequel,he would be over 50 years old, c'mon, enough with that crap. Again, I understand the "Haters" support, but try and atleast give this a shot when it comes out.
Hey Jonny. I've been gone awhile as the posting had become too sarcastic and too plentiful for me, but have been paying attention. I've seen the trailer at least five times and agree with you. Man, it looks awesome. By the same token, the legend of Ricky Bobby's trailers were funny, but that was all of the funny parts. The rest of the movie stunk. I'm hopeful this trailer is just a small part of an awesome movie. That trailer was more than I expected and I was smiling like a kid at Christmas when it was done. I am still a little unsure as to how Zombie can take a regular kid and make him an un-killable machine, but will wait until August to see.
Hey P.W. , welcome back. I also was surprised with the trailer. It really looks intense. I know what you mean that a good trailer can be decieving. Based on what I've seen thus far, I'm liking it and Michael looks awesome, the best by far since the original.
Maybe I'm softening up a bit, but the trailer (the more I watch it) looks good. But that doesn't mean the movie itself will be as good as the trailer describes. Who knows...from what I think I know about the picture, I will go into it with some automatic disappointments. But, I may come out pleasantly surprised. It kicks ass that someone wants to do something with Myers other than put him through another cliche' seuqel. God, if audience's lost interest in The Shape, any movies made in the future would probably go direct to video. So maybe Rob is Myers' saving grace. But then again, maybe not. I can-however-admit (without hesitation) that this movie should be ten times better than Resurrection.
VERMIN BASTARD. Your absolutely right. I'll lay money that RZ's version will be better than any of the sequels. The more I think about it, this re-telling of the story is the only way to go for a shot at keeping the franchise vital. This story has run run dry, time for some new ideas and a new direction other than MTV Hip Hop star sequels that make no sense and having us believe that Michael's this killing machine even though he would now be in his fifties. Let's not forget the numerous gunshot, stabbings, and burnings, Oh yeah, car smashings he's endured. The joke's over, let's move on.
