There's nothing that makes me more angry than when people die because of f-cking dip sh-t morons who think they can drink and drive. Today the LA Times had the displeasure of reporting the news that legendary director Bob Clark (67), along with his son (22), were killed in a major car crash on the Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades around 2AM. Bob Clark was responsible for bringing such classics as A Christmas Story, Porky's, Black Christmas and Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things to the big screen. Read on for the tragic news.

The LA Times reports:

Film director Robert Clark and his son Ariel were killed in an early morning collision along a stretch of Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades, authorities said.

Clark directed the classic holiday film "A Christmas Story" in 1983 and was also the producer of the "Porkys" films, along with about two dozen other features.

The crash, which occurred about 2:30 a.m., left the highway closed between Temescal Canyon Road and West Sunset Boulevard until 10:40 a.m., while police investigated at the scene, said Kevin Maiberger, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police said Clark, 67, and his son, who was 22, were found dead at the scene in the silver Infiniti.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle, a GMC Yukon, were taken to the UCLA Medical Center with "serious" injuries, Maiberger said. Both of them are thought to be in their 20s. The male driver is expected to be charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, Maiberger said.

Maiberger added that speed was another factor in the crash, but he said the investigation has not determined to what extent. "I'm not sure if that means one car, or both cars were speeding," he said.

Come on...this sucks. Why can't bad directors like Uwe Boll end up in situations like this instead of good ones like him?

Its very sad, when anyone dies because someone had alcohol in their system. Like i say to my friend their is no excuse why people who drink to much to be behind the wheel, esp when we promote drinking and driving is bad. if you go behind the wheel and you know ur tipsy, drunk or wotever then you chose manslaughter... because you know its dangerous...

Such a shame. Just as his carer seemed to be getting back on track. He will be missed, a true legend of the horror genre.

Bob was a true master for horror cinema and had a great eye for comedies. I hope justice is served for the Drunk Drivers that caused the accident. They should make the person who caused it to write out a check each week to remind himself of what he did.

I was almost killed by a drunk driver about 8 or 9 years ago, it was the third time he did it, and he got a slap on the wrist. No luck that a celebrity death will change things. This guy wil get a slap on the wrist. No life imprisonment, 15 years tops, and doubtful that will even happen. We can only hope that he'll be in the cell of some guy who is a big fan of Robert's movies, and maybe he'll be raped and tortured to death as he deserves to be.

Raped and tortured to death? Brain damaged? What hell is wrong with you people? Yeah it is a tragedy that someone died, it really is. If the driver gets 15 years, I think that is enough time to come to terms with they did. Alot of you seem to be wishing the driver dead. That seems more wrong than driving under the influence to me. I wish the driver full health and no brain damage. Therefore he can think about what he did and feel sorry about it. I think there should be some kind of system on cars where they have some sort of breathalizer. That way, if your drunk, you can't drive.

I dont care how little you do it, it never leads to anything god -- NEVER !! RIP Bob and Ariel. We will keep Black Christmas and all the rest classics for years to come !!

Sick bastards, I dont care if it impairs your decision. When your drunk and you start your vehicle you should be shot on sight. Bob Clark was a brilliant human being. R.I.P. BOB AND SON!
