Sony has announced the Sam Raimi produced The Messengers (review) on DVD for June 5th, according to DVD Active. This US directorial debut from the Pang Brothers’ (The Eye, Internal Affair) will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. Extra material will include an audio commentary with Kristen Stewart and Guests, and seven behind the scenes featurettes (“Pang Vision”, “Script Evolution”, “Constructing the Set”, “Kristen Stewart, Rising Star”, “John Corbett, Unexpected Villain”, “Meet the Crows”, and “Exploring Visual Effects”). A Blu-ray release will be available for $38.96.
