After last week's fiasco that pretty much put a dent in my bank account, it's nice to have a little breather... unless of course you buy that crap Brain Damage puts out. This week they unlod a handful of DVDs as Classic Media drops a few more Godzilla films. But the gem of the week is Anchor Bay's The Mario Bava Collection, which features: Black Sunday, Black Sabbath, The Girl Who Knew Too Much, Kill Baby Kill and Knives of the Avenger. Read on for the full release list. Godzilla Brain Damage

Basketweave: York

After her parents are killed by the psychotic BASKETWEAVE, 10-year-old Ally Van Duren is committed to an insane asylum. Ten years later she is still there, now a beautiful young woman who is terrorized by a sadistic nurse. Like many patients at the asylum

That’s right, the killers name is Basketweave! That reminds we of this dream I once had about a pair of killer knitting needles…what? Nevermind.

Black Christmas: Genius Entertainment

In "Black Christmas" a sorority house is terrorized by a killer who makes frightening telephone calls before murdering the sorority sisters during the Christmas break.

Bottom Feeder: Genius Entertainment

Evil lies beneath the surface in this thrilling, edge-of-your-seat gore and monster-fest! Sizemore stars as a maintenance worker who, along with his crew, is hunted and terrorized by an indestructible creature. Featuring slick and gruesome effects in the

Featuring the directorial debut of Randy Daudin (who did effects on HEARTSTOPPER, UKM and 5IVE GIRLS), Bottom Feeder looks to be promising; it’s just a shame that it’s also the definition of Tom Sizemore’s career.

A Bothered Conscience: Brain Damage

Twenty years after his father is murdered in a savage act of retribution, Lucas is left alone to preserve the twisted family legacy. Haunted by visions of a violent past, Lucas becomes more dangerous with each passing day.

Godzilla Raids Again (a.k.a. Gigantis the Fire Monster): Classic Media

In this second entry of the Godzilla series, another monster is introduced to fight Godzilla. The new creature is called Anguirus and looks like a big spiked turtle. The two creatures wage their war in Japan and level cities along the way.

I don’t know about you guys but I think these Godzilla special editions are really f’n cool.

Goregoyles 2: Brain Damage

Follow a dangerous killer and fellow murderers attending a snuff party. Unbeknown to them, our anti-hero has an agenda to clean up his godforsaken life. The hunters become the hunted and learn the true meaning of fear!

Did anyone see the first film? Does anyone need to see the first film? These are the questions that keep me up at night.

Kidnapped/Rabid Dogs: Anchor Bay

A gang of thieves hijack a man's car after botching their getaway from a robbery. They take a woman prisoner and command the man to drive them to safety. The man must try to cope with the bad situation he is in as well as trying to get help for a sick child that he is caring for.

Killer Story: Brain Damage

A sexy woman locks two pulp writers in a remote saloon, where she issues an enticing challenge: She will be the prize for whichever storyteller can spin the best yarn.

Previously titled Grave Tales this 2004 Joe Estevez anthology arrives on DVD shelves courtesy of director Garrett Clancy

Lifeblood: Brain Damage

A broken man, Carl Spencer embarks on a vengeance-fueled quest in pursuit of the vampire that murdered his wife. His target: Demetrius, a creature torn between his allegiance to his master and his own thirst for blood. Spencer's journey brings him to two sisters, victims of a dark family secret. The fates of all become tied to an insidious plot to resurrect an ancient vampire witch.

The Mario Bava Collection, Volume 1 (Black Sunday / Black Sabbath / The Girl Who Knew Too Much / Kill Baby Kill / Knives of the Avenger): Anchor Bay (TEX’S PICK OF THE WEEK)

This collection brings together 5 landmark movies from the first half of Bava’s career — encompassing the original giallo, a bold Viking epic, and his three gothic horror masterpieces — featuring new transfers, original European versions, and exclusive featurettes to create the definitive celebration of one of the most important filmmakers of all time.

Mothra vs. Godzilla (a.k.a. Godzilla vs The Thing): Classic Media

A greedy developer unwittingly hatches a gigantic baby moth upon Tokyo, while Godzilla strikes once again.

Another sweet DVD release for crazed Godzilla fans everywhere.

Supercroc: The Asylum

In this non-stop action adventure, an elite military unit must stop a giant reptilian creature from reaching Los Angeles.

Digital effects lord Scott Harper (GHOST SHIP) brings the world another giant reptile film. Do you think he’s seen Roger Corman’s DINOCROC or the National Geographic documentary about this thing yet?

Twin Peaks: The Second Season: Paramount

Special Agent Dale Cooper continues to investigate the puzzling murder of high school student Laura Palmer.

Hey gang, it only took 6 years to get the second and final season of Lynch’s masterpiece to the DVD shelves. Celebrate by buying the damn thing.

Zombies Gone Wild: Westlake

Three guys, Marty, Randy, and Leroy go on a spring break road trip in the hopes of becoming men and finding the year's crop of spring break hotties. They get a hell of a lot more than they bargained for when the girls of their dreams become their worst nightmare.

Welcome to the worst film of my entire life. Do the world a favor if you rent or buy this…commit suicide.
