One of the "8 Films To Die For" that got left off of the initial "After Dark Horrorfest" slate, director Nacho Cerda's The Abandoned arrives onto DVD on June 19th from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, according to Davis DVD. An American woman searching for her birth parents learns she has inherited a house in the middle of a forest in a remote area of Russia. Abandoned and uninhabited for 40 years, it stands in total disrepair and neglect. What she finds is more than an old house, but the place where she was supposed to die. The chiller arrives with an anamorphic widescreen transfer, Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround audio and "The Making of 'The Abandoned'" featurette. Retail is $28.98. In addition, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment will release The Hills Have Eyes 2 (review) on June 26th. There are no disc specs yet, but word is to expect rated and unrated cuts.
6 days after release, a DVD date is announced. And folks wonder why movies keep bombing. Make a fucking incentive to go see it in theaters.

Ugh, welp, I will not be worrying about the release date for Hills 2, that's for sure. It was nowhere near as good as the first film and not even worth a second viewing. The whole soldier thing was a fucking joke and the ending.....lol I pray there is no HHE3!
fuck the hills have eyes.I want the grindhouse and vacancy.
