Today some major rumors hit the web regarding Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez's Sin City 2, just wait until you see who might be joining the cast! Read on for the skinny. The sequel will be based on the second book "A Dame to Kill For," an earlier story of Dwight McCarthy (Clive Owen's character), whose life is turned upside down when Ava, a woman from his past returns, saying she loves him and causing all sorts of problems for him.


Acting superstar Johnny Depp and Antonio Banderas (two of Robert Rodriguez' old friends) could be the next names to join the cast of SIN CITY 2, according to MTV. This would be their first film together since Once Upon A Time in Mexico.

"[Depp] was interested in doing the Jackie Boy character that Benicio [Del Toro] played [in the first one], but he was doing that movie 'Libertine' in Europe and it just kept getting pushed and delayed and went right through our shooting schedule," Rodriquez said. "But there is a better role for him in ['Hell and Back']. I kept going, 'Gosh, Jackie Boy is a small part, he could be really good [as Wallace].' When he wasn't available, I thought maybe it was meant to be."

Here's a little about what he had to say about Banderas, "When I showed him the first sample of the work, he went, 'Man I'll do anything in that. I'll be the hunchback. You have to bring me onboard, that looks amazing,' " Rodriguez recalled. "So Frank met him that time too and he said, 'I have got to find something for that guy. I've never met him before. He's amazing.' [So we're] looking at the cast of characters and [looking] to see where he can fit."

	superfry 2:17pm, March 27, 2007 Depp as "Wallace" in Hell & Back?AWESOME!Wonder if they're still planning on doing A Dame to Kill For too?Knowing those 2 stories,this movie will definitely be on par or even better than the 1st.
	GoldenEyeRa 4:11am, March 28, 2007 Ah just to let everyone know (particularly the ARTICLE'S WRITER here) that Depp and Banderas would be in Sin City 3 - as in the third. Rodriguez is preparing this as well, which will include Hell and Back, which would therefore star Depp (if he's in). Banderas would also be for that because Rodriguez wants him to star alongside Depp again (after Once Upon a Time in Mexico's success). Sin City 2, which is the next one, focuses on 'A Dame to Kill For', which has Clive Owen as Dwight again and most probably Jolie. These two films are really connected at all, just thought I'd point it out! In other words, Dame to Kill For = SC2, Hell and Back, Depp, Banderas = SC3.
	Me 7:18pm, March 28, 2007 Actually, Hell and Back is probably going to be in Sin City 2. Remember, they're doing multiple stories in each.
