You gotta love the guy, you really do. After all of those hours applying the Freddy Krueger make-up you'd think he be begging for Freddy to die for real, but that's not the case. While out promoting Hatchet, Behind the Mask and Killer Pad, star-turned-director Robert Englund has been out and about teasing fans with the A Nightmare On Elm Street Prequel and a possible Freddy vs Jason sequel, while various other souces are claiming a possible Nightmare SEQUEL could be next. In the midst of all of the madness we checked in with some peeps at New Line Cinema who confirm everything floating around the web right now is untrue. Sure one day we might see Freddy return to the big screen, but right now the focus is mainly on rebooting Jason Voorhees with a remake of Friday the 13th. Hopefully one day something with eventually come into fruition, but until then keep your eyes peeled here for anything OFFICIAL.
robert is a fucking "talk talk". We already knew that. Damn New Line. When (if) they'll decide to make a new nightmare robert will be to old and they'll replace him.
New line needs to stop fucking with damn remakes and make what we all wanna see a Freddy Prequil or any other freddy for that matter before Robert gets to old and they replace him with some horrible actor that will bring down the whole seriese.
A Friday the 13th remake?!? AARRRGGH!!!
You gotta be freaking kidding me? First Halloween, now Friday the 13th?
Oh, and I think it'd be kick ass to see a NIghtmare prequel, but it'd have to be a much darker, nastier Freddy than what we've seen. He did kill little kids before becoming the dream demon, you know...what about exploring pre-burned Freddy's nightmares? A sick guy like that has to be tortured and the dreams would be the focal point. Can't really pass a mainstream flick with a punch of little kids getting cut up now can you?
Please!!! Please!!! Will someone please contact me! (Preferably Wes Craven) I have been working on an idea for the Freddy prequel for months now. I am a writer from Michigan who has been a Nightmare on Elm Street Fanatic since I was 6 and had my first encoutner with Freddy in Elm Street pt3: Dream Warriors. If anyone knows how to write a Freddy prequel it is me! Feel free to contact me if you want to know where my head is. However, I cannot share my detailed ideas for the story due to the lack of copyright! Hopefully someone who can put me in contact with the intended director of the the so-called Freddy prequel will read this!!!
Mr. Craven, I hope you see this!!!
Wtf will a remake show, freddy getting burnt the fu*k up? no thanks...
