At this past weekends Wizard World convention in Los Angeles, CA comedy star-turned director David Arquette announced that After Dark Film will no longer release his directorial debut The Tripper in theaters, instead he will be doing it himself. No details were revealed, but expect The Tripper to hit big city theaters before it goes to DVD. The film revolves around a group of friends who escape to a modern-day Woodstock concert for a weekend of debauchery, only to be stalked by a fanatical killer determined to finish what he started years earlier.
After the fiasco that was their film festival last Fall, I don't blame him at all. They ended up playing The Tripper in like 5 cities after having a much bigger listing for it. He definitely did the right thing.
hope to see the tripper sooner or later at this point!
