Either way, I trust the writers will make it decent and believable. Obviously everyone saw him die so it's going to be interesting to see how they handle this part. I do hope they don't bring in some lame new apprentice. Tobin Bell IS the movie. Lettng someone else take over his work would be a major mistake. A prequal would be nice. I also hope they don't go with the standard twist in the end because by now we have come to expect it there. They have to mix it up a little to keep it working for a 4th part.

Probably really stupid comment, but is it 100% known that he died? I mean Danny Glover's character got a blade to the neck also (I know not as bad, but it was still a blade, which is not to be really slashed into the neck) and he still lived somehow. Is it known that Jigsaw died and didn't just take off the heart monitor? I mean I know it's a really huge stretch, but there's a tiny slight chance he could have pulled through I suppose. It's really small, but there's a chance.

i dont know but i think he is dead and planed a game befor he died and jeff got to get his daughter and maybe he will be alive or maybe its just flash backs

is it far fetched that may be he diconnected the heart monitor, I mean after all everything is game and everything is rigged in a certain way. Maybe number four will pick up with the guy saving jigsaw so he can find his daughter.I don't believe a prequel is in order, after all, if anyone paid attenion in saw 1, he explains how he got started anyways. ask yourself this, how many saw can there be before it loses it popularity.

I'm sure Jigsaw's character will be showing up in flashbacks, and that's probably it. The producers have said that we'll find out way more about Jigsaw's past. I hope so - I have tremendous faith in this sequel. James, Leigh, and Darren wouldn't let it go to crap - it's way too awesome. XD

There is one EVERY YEAR, there is no anticipation and they don't take the time to make truly great sequels. The first was genius, the rest are lame-ass. The only reason I will even consider this one is because it has the writers from FEAST, that movie was sick-house and maybe they can ressurect a dead franchise, but I doubt it.

I am very upset about the idea that they are continuing the series considering how III ended. It should have been a trilogy! A prequel will be the only way that I can see it working and not looking stupid. Please reconsider ruining one of the best new horror series since Halloween and keep it a trilogy!

Ignore everyone elses comments because there all negative. The movies are genius and so unpredictable you never know what to expect next. I am so thrilled there is going to be Saw 4 and Saw 5. The whole idea behind the movie is brilliant. I knew that jigsaw wasn't dead and the only reason that I came to a conclusion of that determination is simple. You must pay attention to what he says and how he says it, he's very analogetic. He says things in such a way you only finally understand when it's to late. So for the director of the saw franchise and the actors and producers of the widely popularized film, put your life on the line to make a sequel that out does saw 2, saw 3 and the classic of them all saw 1 to make the greatest saw movie of them all that is until saw 5 comes out. I really think when SAW first came out it was the greatest movie ive seen in a long time... the SAW 2 was announced and i sat back and said, how can they continue the story without ruining it? Well guess what, they did... and they didnt ruin anything... I didnt expect the ending at all... and then saw 3 was announced, i was like, ok, now this is gonna be the series killer... and it wasnt.. i was amazed... they went back to show how the first film was made, showing jigsaw setting up for the main story of the first film.. it was amazing... and the ending was brilliant... and again, leaving it open for a fourth... in my mind, they just keep getting better and better... not worse... and if they calculate correctly, these movies may be THE BEST movies ever made... they keep you guessing until the very end, then they explain it all, and then they hit you with a curve ball... and no other movie has promised that and delivered other than SAW... and Tobin Bell is believable... he deserves all types of Awards...

I dont know if this is a flash back but did anyone notice in saw 3 that when amanda was talking to jigsaw it showed *jigsaw* painting a mask!!!!!!!!!!maybe that wasnt a flashback!

Im a huge fan of saw, and would love to see them keep coming! Sure the series can keep going with jigsaw! Maybe he had a body double in saw 3 as part of his game??? Who knows so I say bring on Saw 4 and 5, 6, 7 you get what Im sasying great movies!

Agreed Blood.The only true way of making S4W(Saw 4,suprized they havent used my symbol yet >.>),is by making a prequel,I cant stress that enough.And Iam rather surprized at some of the commits so far in here,as some of you in here lack Jigsaw knowledge it seems. In case you guys havent guessed yet,he doesnt give his "test subjects"second chances.If they dont do as they are told,"Game Over".Everyones gotta follow the rules the 1st time though. Giving Jeff a 2nd chance not only would be stupid(because hed have to be alive to tell him hes got one,and theres no way),but make Jigsaw a liar at the same time,hence the reason why Amanda was found out by him before she died,by calling her a murderer for rigging the traps set for Troy and Carrie. If this prequal is about what he did before the 1st 3 movie,then Iam ok with that,cuz we know little about him anyhow.The only other thing they can do this to somehow have/had Jigsaw made 4-6 more tapes leads to some more people being punished thats close to Jeff as well.Jeff is alive in that time frame still,is that a possiblity.

i'm pretty pissed, irritated and annoyed at ppl that posted. did any of you watch 3 ????????????? ok let me explain. 1. i can guarentee your ass jiggsaw is dead. 2. in saw 3 he pours wax at the end over a recorded tape on the medical table . 3. his begining wasexplained in saw 2 as crappy as i feel it was. 4. only way to finish it, explain the girl in jiggsaw's flashback, why he filmed her and what the tape in wax is about. 5. last way to twist it is to explain jiggsaw is part of his own game and how abiding by the rules lead to his death. lastly one thing they never explained is if jiggsaw is the real killer of jeffs kid then who the hell was all the people jeff killed? after all the door to jeffs freedom was behind him before he started the game. if he never entered those rooms those people would have most likly lived. after all every room jeff entered was rigged to start a chain reaction and they only died due to jeff entering the room firing up the death machine in each one.

WOW, I had no idea that there was gonna be Fourth with the ending the 3rd one had. These have to be the best horror films ever made and I just found out that Tobin Bell is signed up for a 5th one!!! Now i'm dying to know what "really" happened at the end of saw 3 I'ts gonna be interesting to see how they pull off these next 2. Keep them coming! I'm guessing Saw 4 will kick off with Jeff trying to find his daughter

Alrite guys this is what i beleive, at the ending of Saw 3 you have to listen to the message that he says right before it goes to the credits jigsaw says to jeff I wanna Play A Game so seeing that both jigsaw and amanda are dead jeff will have to continue the legacy to prevent the death of his daughter

this is what will happen. Jigsaw says in saw 3 that he can have an ambulance there in just a few minutes. The ambulance will get there in time to save him theres no way they can make the next two movies on prequels.

What would the use of a prequel be? We know all the reasons that Jigsaw started all of his games. It tells us in the 2nd one. When Dr. Gordon told him he is inoperable and will not live long, John (Jigsaw) tries to commit suicide but fails his attempt. Thus, this makes him think that he should challenge people's will to live. That is how he becomes Jigsaw. The only use of a prequel would be maybe to tell about jigsaw's childhood and retell the story that they told in the second one.

Saw 4. Ain't it obvious what it's going to be about? Billy, that little puppet guy. It's gonna tell us what he did next!!! Whatever that may be...

OK, I'm sure this is probably posted somewhere else on this page but here's my idea for SAW 4... First Jigsaw will only be seen in flashbacks, no big deal. Jeff's story will be finished rather quickly, no reason to drag it on he failed his test game over. There will be a new jigsaw, remember good old DR Gordon from the first one? That could explain how they get ahold of all of the medical equiptment. We never did see what happened to him after he left the nasty bathroom, not to mention his admiration for what jigsaw was doing. One last thing about Dr Gordon, do you recall part 2 when they showed "jigsaw", actually someone in a hooded robe, removing the guys eye to put the key behind it? He had a slight limp as if possibly missing a foot. Ok enough of all that but just wanted to get you all thinking. It's quite possible that Jigsaw had more than one apprentice.

I still think (even tho it is a giant stretch, especially since i thort jigsaw was dead at the end of SAW II) that maybe he is alive, i mean, he already tried to take his life, and it didn't work, so now he really appreciates life, so would he just let it go, for his game, so then he couldnt teach anyone else a "lesson", no matter what, if jeff took his revenge, his wife would have to die, because it is the rules, n if jigsaw didnt want to die yet, he could just pull out the heart rate monitor. On another site, it says that someone from the first movie comes back in saw IV, so i would rather it be adam, but he is dead :(, then i would like DR. Gordon to come bak, but i think he mite be dead too, so i think Jeff will come back, what i don't understand is, jigsaws games are all about letting people decide about life and death, jeff in the drill chair wasnt given a choice at all, thus making jigsaw a murderer and then wat....? plus, how does Dr. Gordon get the picture of allison and diana in his wallet. As soon as he leaves, zepp attacks allison and diana, but jigsaw would have to be following him already, becoz he doesnt stay long in the motel, and if zepp met up wid jigsaw to give him the photo, wouldnt zepp just go for the antidote then? My only answer is Zepp maybe had to leave it or send it to a specific location and all, and maybe amanda picked it up? what are your opinions??

ok if jigsaw comes back in the 5th movie then why doesn't he come back in the 4th movie!?!?!?!? I come on !! I guess that during the 4th movie he is getting saved or something ?!??! well it looks stupid to me but it is going to turn out like the halloween movies with micheal myers

I'm a huge Saw fan and just hope the next couple of films are as clever, shocking and original as the first three. A super human Jigsaw who can not or will not die would spoil the authenticity of the films. Saw 4 could simply be Jeff going through hell (again) to save his daughter. Saw 5 could very well be a prequel which isn't nessecarily a bad thing as long as the script is top notch. I do hope that silly twists and turns aren't used for the sake of making more Saw films. The best example is the beginning of Haloween Ressurection which totally spoils the classis Haloween H2O.

I like Adhym's idea about dr. gordon being another protege of jigsaw. he never did technically die that we know of, and having had all the medical equipment was a lil suspicious. he is one of 2 characters thats deaths weren't verified both him and the kid from the second. a prequel will be lame, between the back stories and the saw comic book we know when happened in the past, unless there are some insanly awesome stuff we haven't seen yet. there are alot of devices and traps that have been seen but not used, so unless he pulled some real wicked shit in before saw 1 times a prequel would be stupid. Or the flash backs having jigsaw could be interesting buti doubt it could be done right. but in my opinion the dr gordon scenerio is the best i've yet to hear.

Kai Guys. Tobin Signed for 6 movies. Dont get your hopes up. He might return just in flashbacks. Ive been looking up some stuff like theres a scene with rats and Rigg (Swat officer) the plot says it may center around his character. There are 2 more names comign up that could take over Jigsaws work OR Become his test subjects Scott Patterson and Justin Louis. Or it could be JUST LIKE Saw 2. It could appear he has died but maybe he really hasent. And in saw 3 if you havent noticed. There were camaras behind Jeff when he was killing Jigsaw,

k...i totally agree with Adhym Fritch...oh and when Dr. G cut off his foot, notice he wrapped a piece of cloth around it to reduce the bleeding, like back when people had to amputate people's legs and arms at war. And I had read that someone from the first movie is gonna come back, so there is a chance is going to be Dr. G. A prequel would just be ridiculous, and pointless...I'm just curious what the 5th one is gonna be about, but i figure it won't be too great, but i'll just wait and see

There was a scene in Saw 3 where wesaw a flashback and saw that blonde bird kiss Jigsaw. I take it, it was his missus. I can place a nice little wager she will play a part in the next film.
