Speaking of Vertigo Entertainment, today we got in touch with Yam Laranas who is currently working with Roy Lee's company on a remake of his own film The Echo (Sigaw), which is slated to go into production at end of March in New York City, according to his official Blog Spot. He also reveals that they have a casting list but can't proceed until of course they have a solid script, which is being worked on diligently as we speak. In addition, Yam posted a really cool short film he made on his Nokia N93 mobile phone (!) right here! Echo revolves around a young ex-con who moves into an old apartment building, only to learn his neighbor is an abusive police officer who savagely beats his wife and daughter. When the ex-con tries to intervene, he becomes trapped in a curse.
