If you head on over to BDTV you can check out the very bloody first teaser trailer for Joe Lynch's Wrong Turn 2: Dead End, which is aiming for release later this year. No word yet on a theatrical or direct-to-video release. If you like the teaser Digg it inside! This installment centers on Ma and Pa, the inbreds (also brother and sister!) who spawned the deformed villains seen in the original movie; the murderous couple terrorize the contestants on a SURVIVOR-style reality show who wind up getting lost in the savages’ woods.
Did I catch a glimpse of Henry Rollins and the baby from Dead-Alive in that trailer? LoL. Looks more like a remake of the first then an actual sequel. I'll check it out anyway.
*Sigh* Sooooooooo much negativity, don't bash a film unless you've seen it. I think this film is going to be better then the first. It's going to be way gorier, I can tell you that much. The director is way cool.
Don't praise a film unless you've seen it. I'll contradict myself now by stating that from watching insane amounts of horror over many years one tends to get a sense of what is shit and what might be good from simply watching a trailer. My gut reaction from seeing that trailer is: "It's shit, but it might be a tad entertaining". Of course, I secretly hope I am wrong.
I can't even remember part 1 except that it was terrible (And I went in expecting to like it). I'm willing to bet this one is direct to video (Where the first belonged).
And for those who are saying don't bahs until you've seen it... Completely fair. But generally speaking, if the first one blows then there isn't much hope for a decent sequel.
