Brittany (John Tucker Must Die) Snow (pictured inside) will play the lead in Screen Gems slasher remake Prom Night, according to Variety. Nelson McCormick has sold his soul to the devil and will helm. Snow recently wrapped "Finding Amanda" and has a role in New Line's "Hairspray." Rumor has it that the remake will include supernatural elements. Once upon a time, there lived a young girl who dreamed of prom her entire life. Now, on the eve of her prom, nothing is going to stand in the way of making all her dreams come true...well, almost nothing. Read on for a picture of Brittany and go to Prom on February 1, 2008.

First, I would like to say that this remake crap is getting wayyyyyyyyyy out of hand in Hollywood. Get some new writers or something. The original Prom Night was brillant and fresh at the time. It was another reason why Jamie Lee Curtis was branded the "scream queen" It was right after she did Halloween and everyone wanted her for the role. Prom Night was a slasher film and the fact that these big shots in Hollywood feel the need to turn an excellent slasher film into something else really pisses me off. Don't get me wrong because I love supernatural movies. They're one of my favorites but this is no longer going to be considered a slasher. When they remade The HIlls Have Eyes, did they remake it with alligators? Hell no!!! They remade it with the mutants just like in the original. The story can be changed a little bit to be considered a remake but this is totally ridiculous and the fact that this remake even got greenlit is beyond me. I will see this remake even though it has nothing to do with the classic Jamie Lee Curtis title and see just how much these idiots in Hollywood really messed up on the story all together. NOTE: Rent or buy the original Prom Night. It came out in 1980 and stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Leslie Neilsen in a very serious role. It is on DVD.

im dissapointed in the prom remake. the supernatural element sounds stupid. also they make it sound like something completely different, first off jamie lee's character was not the killer in the original and they are making it sound like the character will be in the new version. i highly recommend that before anyone goes to see it that they rent the original first to see how much better it is compared to how the new one will be! :(

I agree the remakes they are ridiculous. Leave the classics alone. take a movie that sucked and remake that. I mean Halloween re done give me a break stupid and to have Danille Harris as annie that is so dumb. She was in 2 of the Halloween movies and they think that the fans would like that. Prom Night is on DVD and a great movie leave it alone

Geez, all these good movies are being remade! The directors that did these remakes should come up with their own freakin' ideas! They remade: Black Christmas, The Hitcher, Motel Hell, Halloween,The Hills Have Eyes, The Omen, and now, Prom night, STOP!!!!
