If you click here you can check out our exclusive report from the set of Rob Zombie's Halloween remake, which is aiming at an August 31 release. Last week we brought you the first ever picture from set, today you get the story. Zombie's vision of this film is an entirely new take on the legend and will satisfy fans of the classic "Halloween" legacy while beginning a new chapter in the Michael Myers saga. "This is a bit of a prequel and a remake, combined," says Zombie.
Mr. D.......Nice job with the on set info. You got me more intrigued than ever. There's a 50/50 chance this movie could really be surprisingly good, sorry haters, I know you will disapprove. But there's a chance. I think some of you will be swayed once we see more pictures and get more details. I'm not of the opinion like some that RZ is not a horror fan and does not appreciate this story. I think he's fully aware of how BIG this picture is and that alone COULD make him step up his game. Again, I'm not a big RZ fan, just a horror fan optimist.
Well said Jonny. If you keep that up you're going to sway me. You are correct in that RZ is a big fan of the original and with that in mind understands what the story means to us. I guess that means keeping an open mind. Damn you did it! By the way, I left you a post on the other page about the 75th. cast member to join. That's why the Myers house is bigger. LOL!
Keep up the great work Mr. Disgusting. I am really looking forward to reading more of your set stuff. You know some are going to beat you up now saying you sold out. Hey they beat you up because you were in the set picture as if it mattered. Stick to your guns.
Ive been getting beat up since I posted the picture of the house... btu what people dont understand is that I WASNT invited on set. I snuck on. Sneaky lil bastard I am...... it's funny though, most of the negative comments were other horror websites (I wont mention who) trying to stir up sh-t. It sucks being jealous!
That is awesome. So you were actually in the scene as a neighbor extra thing? That's so cool. Does Daeg talk in the scenes you saw filming? I don't really care, just curious.
Mr. D. , your doing a great job and just speak from the heart and keep the updates coming. People that are bashing you just because your sharing your thoughts and excitement are just being narrow minded. We all have different views and should all be allowed to speak our minds without being verbally blasted. The haters of RZ have the right to be disgusted, just as the people that are wanting to see the movie have the right to share thier thought's and optimistic views. People will hate this movie no matter what, and you will have people that love it. In the end it does not make one side superior.
No didnt see him talk, he was wearing the clown outfit though and came over and chatted. Nice kid. If youre curious about him talking in the movie... yeah he talks, a lot as a kid.
Actually Mr. D I was one of the skeptical ones who maybe felt that you were invited and therefore maybe a little TOO promotional in your posts (h#ll, it IS your site) Anyway, I can't complain because you did not delete the healthy amount of flame-throwing warfare enacted by myself and Johnny, whn you had more than every right to, and I gotta respect that. Anyway, good for you.
The one thing I will say is this... the movie will speak for itself. If it sucks, fans will let it be know. Hopefully we'll all be surprised and walk away with a smile. Only time will tell. All we can do is what we do best, report. If the movie sucks, you'll see a negative review on here just like any other piece o shite.
That's a great point Mr. D. I as well will be the first to say this movie suck's, if it indeed does. But I will see it than give an opinion. I hope to be surprised and like it, not because I have some affection for RZ, which I don't, but have been accused of because of my views, but because I just want to see a great horror movie, it's really that plain and simple. I also will applaud you Mr. D for allowing the exchange between myself and Sauron. I think we've come to a mutual understanding and I can now respect his views and passion. Were both Halloween fans that just see things a little different. And that's ok, without the name calling.
Whoever is doubting this movie, you're insane. Rob Zombie
has done nothing more than impress me with his last two
films. After watching The Devil's Rejects on opening night,
I was more than ecstatic to finally realize I just sat
through a horror movie that I finally respected.
Recently, I have no idea what the hell writers are
thinking. The Grudge 2, Pulse?...fuck off. There is no sense
of meaning or emotion carried through in any form of these
films. It's nothing more than predictable ending's and poor
storylines. Is there really no one out there creative enough
to write something that will bring back a true sense of
being hopeless in a horror film? So, here's my advice to
anyone...if you're doubting Rob Zombie's ability to visually
and emotionally shock you, keep your head in your ass.
I've been waiting for this movie for a year now. I can't
wait much longer.
