Dimension to Distribute Odd Lot Entertainment Horror Pic

Produced by Odd Lot Entertainment's Deborah Del Prete and Gigi Pritzker, and co-produced by Linda McDonough, with an original screenplay by Art Monterastelli ("The Hunted"), "Buried Alive" is the story of a college prank gone terribly wrong. A group of students travel to an abandoned house situated in an isolated desert canyon for a sorority initiation, but it transpires that one of the group has a secret agenda to unearth a fortune buried by his great-grandfather, which leads to an empty coffin, a fatal curse, and ghost who seeks vengeance on his family's bloodline.

Michelle Krumm, executive vice president of acquisitions and co-productions for The Weinstein Company stated, "We are excited to be in business with Gigi and Deborah and the talented team at Odd Lot and we think that Robert has created a fantastic and terrifying film that will have people on the very edge of their seats."

Deborah Del Prete stated, " We are delighted about this new relationship with Dimension and the Weinstein Company and are confident in their amazing ideas and marketing strategies on behalf of 'Buried Alive'."

Odd Lot Entertainment was founded in 2001 by Gigi Pritzker and Deborah Del Prete. It recently produced and financed, "Suburban Girl," the adaptation of the best-selling Melissa Banks' novel, "The Girls' Guide to Hunting & Fishing," starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alec Baldwin and Maggie Grace; Independent Spirit Award-winner "Mean Creek," written and directed by Jacob Estes; and the commercial hit "The Wedding Planner," starring Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey. Currently in active development or production are "The Lavender Hill Mob," an action comedy remake of the classic Alec Guinness comedy, to be directed by Dean Parisot ("Fun With Dick and Jane"); "Return To Sender," a sophisticated romantic comedy to be directed by Mimi Leder ("The Peacemaker"); "Sense and Sensibilidad," a present-day, Latino version of Jane Austen's classic novel, to be directed by Fina Torres ("Woman on Top") from a script she wrote with Luis Alfaro; and "Trap for Cinderella," an erotic thriller based on the book by acclaimed French novelist Sebastien Japrisot, to be directed by Iain Softley ("The Skeleton Key," "Ink Heart").

Its genre shingle, Dark Lot Entertainment, is focused on satisfying horror fans by giving directors substantial creative control to bring smart, commercially sensible films to the screen. Its first projects include "Living Hell," written and directed by Richard Jefferies ("Cold Creek Manor"); and "Wanted: Undead or Alive," a western zombie comedy that marks the feature writing/directing debut of writer Glasgow Phillips ("South Park"). In active development are such projects as "The Spirit," to be adapted and directed by Frank Miller from the Will Eisner comic book; and "The Veil," a supernatural thriller written by Irving Belateche, produced in partnership with Lawrence Bender Productions. In April 2006 Odd Lot also launched a foreign sales division, Odd Lot International.
