To me one of my favorite "popcorn" horror films is Dimension Films' Feast, which received a limited theatrical release that was almost immediately followed by the unrated DVD. Apparently the home video rental/sales were good because talks have begin about two possible sequels! No details have been revealed yet, but while chatting up with Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunston (the writers behind Feast) this past weekend in Hollywood, CA, they revealed to Bloody-Disgusting that Dimension had been talking recently about doing two more films. We got our fingers crossed that they bring Melton and Dunston back for more bloody mayhem!
In my humble opinion Feast was the best horror film of last year (excluding Pan's Labyrinth, which I don't COMPLETELY consider a horror film). It was gory, it was insane, it had a lightening pace that never let up, it had everything a hardcore horror fan could possibly want, even Henry Rollins! If they make these sequels maybe, just maybe, there will finally be a NEW horror franchise that doesn't lick donkey chode.
I so hope they decide to move forward with this idea!! I LOVED Feast, and feel it was defintely the best horror movie of last year (except for, as noted above, Pan's Labyrinth).....Can't wait!!
FEAST was mediocre. It's actually pretty overrated by horror fans. It wasn't nearly as much fun as people make it out to be. I'm sure sequels could be better but that idiot John Gulager better not be involved. They need to get a new director.
Feast was a terrible......TERRIBLE movie. All of you should be ashamed of yourselves for even thinking you're horror fans. Maybe you should join the Matt Damon/Ben Affleck fan site for producers....and say hi to Wes Craven. Tell him how great Curse was.
P.S Never mention Feast and Pan's Labyrinth in the same sentence again!
Hey Scott, chill out. You may not like it, but that does not mean that your Ebert and Roeper review has any credibility. Infact, take a poll on this site, I'll bet your HIGHLY outnumbered to those who liked the movie. It was SUPPOSED TO BE goofy and campy. I'll put my horror movie cred up against anyone's. Scott, we ALL like different things. It don't make people ignorant for thinking different than you. Just say you didn't like it and leave the insult's alone.
I would take 100 feast sequels over 1 god-awful wolf creek movie any day
