The cast is quickly growing and Laurie Strode is yet to be seen, but while we wait, Rob Zombie has added two more to his growing list of names for his remake of Halloween, which is being set up for Dimension Films to release on August 31st. So far the names include Tyler Mane, Malcolm McDowell, Daeg Faerch, Heather Bowen, Pat Skipper, Dee Wallace Stone, Sheri Moon Zombie, William Forsythe, Ken Foree, Danielle Harris, Adrienne Barbeau, Clint Howard, Courtney Gains, Daryl Sabara and Brad Dourif - read on to see who will be joining them.
Rob Zombie revealed today on his MySpace blog that Lynda will be played by KRISTINA KLEBE (Delirious) and UDO KIER (Blade, Shadow of the Vampire, Grindhouse, Mother of Tears, Suspiria) will play Morgan Walker head of Smith's Grove Sanitarium.
After being committed for 17 years, Michael Myers, now a grown man and still very dangerous, is mistakenly released from the mental institution (where he was committed as a 10 year old) and he immediately returns to Haddonfield, where he wants to find his baby sister, Laurie. Anyone who crosses his path is in mortal danger.
Zombie's vision of this film is an entirely new take on the legend and will satisfy fans of the classic "Halloween" legacy while beginning a new chapter in the Michael Myers saga. "This is a bit of a prequel and a remake, combined," says Zombie.
Udo Kier? Well, that's final confirmation for me that this film is going to disappear down the nearest shitpipe. 'Rob Zombie's Halloween: Michael Takes the Celebrity Big Brother Love Boat to Haddonfield'. At this stage, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they used the wonders of modern technology to enable a walk-on cameo by Alfred Hitchcock.
I've read the script, it's well written and a good read but like aint it cool news said it missed the point of Michael. Hes just another killer and theres nothing special about him at all. If the movie is anything like the script it will suck. I hope Rob changes some stuff.
Over Christmas, I broke my toe, my nose, and sprained my ankle--and suffered 2 weeks af laryngitis. Hurt like hell. Udo Kier is a master, didn't anybody here see John Carpenter's Cigarette Burns? Why coulsn't HE play the new Dr Loomis, and I think Rob Z is playing with fire trying to remake such a classic as Halloween. It'll be just like the pathetic remake of Psycho, like Vince Vaughn was going to be the next Anthony Perkins. Children! Stop rehashing the classics! Come up with your own material for God's sake!
rob z. if you read this please the best actress for include in you cast is the legendary JAMIE LEE CURTIS please contac with her for one little role inclusive if you like call to sarah michelle geller.everytime i think the best movie can be with kurt ruseell, jamie lee curtis, adrianne barbeu the biggers from carpenter s team: i know if you movie remake be great for 20 years more like the original .
