I don't know if i'll be able to handle seeing this in theaters...the book almost had me in tears at times, the story behind it is even worse too...oh god, what happened with the iron...

i usually hope that adaptations like this stay true to the source but in this case, that may not be a such good thing. i just hope its not some big budget pg13 piece of crap,, nor some ultra low budget bad exploitation wannabe movie.

Just finished reading the book last week and I am horrified at what they are going to to do in the film. The book had so many cringe worthy scenes in it. I am also curious to how they are going to handle the voice overs and how David tells the story. If done right, and neither of the things that the above poster mentioned happens, we could have a horror classic on our hands.

sorry, but i've read both this book and the much more horrifying 'let's go play at the adams' by mendal johnson, (google them) also based on the likens/baniszewski case and i have to say that although i am a hardcore horror lover, i feel this is a movie that really shouldn't be made because it truly IS torture porn and nothing else.
