First Official Still From 'AvP II: Survival of the Fittest'

B-D reader 'Cesar' pointed me to a foreign movie website where it looks like the first ever stills from 20th Century Fox's Alien vs Predator II: Survival of the Fittest were posted. Read on to take a peak. In this follow-up to the worldwide hit AvP, the iconic monsters from two of the scariest film franchises ever, wage war in an American Midwestern town - with the residents caught in the middle. Reiko Aylesworth, Steven Pasquale, John Ortiz, Johnny Lewis, David Hornsby, Gina Holden and Shareeka Epps star in the Strause brother directed sequel.

The Alien skull has too many ridges, and not enough slime. It's an early pick though, and could just be for promotional reasons. The Predator costume looks much better then the abysmal bulky costumes in the last movie. I had high hopes for this, but if it's not taking place in the far future then that just mess' with continuity.

from the look of that photo, it doesn't look EVIL enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or realistic.

Holy Hell!!! If Giger were dead he would be turning in his grave. I just cannot understand how Tom & Alec keep getting the gig on the Alien films as their work seems to get progressivley worse with each installment. Sorry guys but what are you thinking!!!

It looks a lot better than AVP1. The alien is ok for me, we still have to see more and the predator is the best aboutthis picture. We finally see a good predator, not like the last movie, they were fater than danny devito.

The Predator looks ALOT better then anything from AVP1, Alien looks kinda rubbery though.... Happy to see the Alien look is going back to the "Aliens" design, the one without the smoothed skull.

PHOTO TAKEN IN BETWEEN SCENES, NOT OFFICIAL LOOK. COULD BE A PUBLICITY SHOT AS WELL.

That second picture of the lone predator is 200% FAKE. ITS NOT OFFICIAL AT ALL, 1 of the directors at IMDB even said so.

About the ALIEN HEAD: It's the Cameron/Winston design from Aliens. It's the same head from Giger's costume, but without the protective dome. The original alien had those textures, just protected by it's dome. It's possible we're seeing the second Alien movie's head because it's a different environment. In Aliens it was a massive hive as opposed to an isolated few. Just a theory. PLUS, this is a photo of the stunt costumes for fights. The actual detailed costumes are used for solo scenes and close ups. You're not seeing these stunt versions as they're meant to be seen.

I love it! I am curious as to 'how' both creatures end up in the US Mid-West though...
