Fantastic news!!! She's a genre fan favorite with a history with the franchise (and one who kind of got the shaft after Part 5), she has great fondness and love for the series and the genre (appearing at tons of conventions and in URBAN LEGEND), and she's smokin' hot! Even better, Rob has put her in a role best suited for her look and personality, rather than simply plugging her into the Laurie Strode role.

Isn't she old to play a 17 year old? Sure she looks young!

Great news. People though are already bitching about her age. Nancy Loomis and P.J. Soles were both in their late 20s at the time of the original.

Yeah, the age thing is ridiculous. Teenagers in films are played by young adults all the time, and the original HALLOWEEN definitely features some "old" teenager boys and girls. If Danielle Harris' age actually bothers anyone, it's only because they are looking for reasons to complain about this film...the same people who would have spent the next seven months bellyaching that she was robbed if she hadn't been cast in the film. The girl could easily pass for 17, and her presence is a huge plus for the movie. Frankly, I'd love to see a few of these "Isn't she too old?" folks say that to her face at a horror convention, instead of kissing her ass in person then turning around and talking shit about her on-line.

I've got enough reasons to complain about this film without raggin on Danielle Harris. I actually think this is one of the few credible things Zombie's done. She's a good actress who got the shaft when 6 came out. Hopefully she can get more work after this. I thought that based on the quality of her performance in 4 that she would be more established right now. Got to admit though I hope they pass on the flesh stuff, I mean are you guys REALLY that desperate. Dont demean her ability or value to the franchise with a cheap nude scene. There are plenty, and I mean PLENTY of other things to get fired up about this movie.

Sauron, dude... Harris didn't get the shaft in part 6. She held out for money. And from I heard she was already getting a decent check for her 15 minutes in the movie (she says it her self on 25 Years of Terror). She fucked that up herself. "Demening to her acting abilities" - hahahahahaha I got no problem checking out a pair of tits... But yeah, so your 'fired up about this movie'?! The fuck?! I havent heard you say one positive thing until now.

Partial nudity... that means you can see her tights. But breasts? Dream on guys. Preppy upper class girl like her..

Check all the way back to '95. Five grand. I can tell you what Brandy got paid for the role but then I'd get booted off the boards. Find me someone willing to continue a role established over 2 previous movies for 5,000 and I'll make the da$n picture. Which would qualify me about as much as Mr. Yeah, Yeah man. I'm being fair here. Read any of my previous posts and find something I'm saying that isn't true. Has Rob Zombie paid his dues? Is he a credibly educated filmaker? Is he even a decent musician or a desperate Gene Simmons sycophant? Or could it be that we have a trash spewing neophyte planning the ultimate dysunctional Dawson's Creek meets This Boy's Life autobiopic piece of crap that not only bears the name of our beloved franchise but then professes to reimagine the crown jewel of the horror genre? Go ask Rob how many bands reimagine 'Stairway to Heaven' and have a career the next day.

Dudes she has always looked young, when she did the H4 she was 11 and looked about 8, Roseanne she was 15 and looked 12. Another perfect example "The Last Boy Scout" she was 14. I have always wondered why she didn't get more roles. I will be looking forward to this movie, even though I preferred Friday the 13th series(except F13-VI).
