If you're one of those people who like to buy those DVD two-packs thats come with about 100 freakin' movies on 'em, then you're in luck this week. Coming to a retailer near you are three different two-disc sets that include a handful of terrible movies for one low price! In addition, you can check out Maverick's DVD release of Mexican Werewolf in Texas, which just lends itself to about 1,000 different jokes. The latest collection from the gang at Brain Damage films features Jason Liquori’s (ALL WRAPPED UP) anthology series THE LUNAR PACK. Keep an eye out for cameos from Fangoria’s Michael Gingold and fan fave Syn DeVil (as Herself) in director Glen Baisley’s THE TENEMENT.
Doom Asylum: Code Red/Media Blasters
A demented coroner uses autopsy equipment to kill off the teenagers who trespass on the long-abandoned asylum he inhabits. Filmed on location in an actual abandoned asylum.
Check out SEX AND THE CITY’S Kristen Davis in this 1987 film that I’ll bet she wishes she never made.
The Giant Majin Collection: Retromedia/Image
Bigger than Godzilla! Badder than Gamera! Majin, Monster of Terror and Return of Giant Majin arrive on DVD in the special set. The Majin films effectively combine traditional samurai swordplay with incredible special effects, making them a must-see for anybody interested in Japanese cinema.
More Asian monsters? I get a shiver of nostalgia just thinking about all the cheesy glory.

Red Room #1: Unearthed Films

The first is a series of ultraviolent psuedo-snuff style films from director Daisuke Yamanouchi arrives in a legitimate release…so you can finally toss out those bad bootlegs with no subtitles.
Serum: Hannover House/Allumination
While searching for a "cure all" serum, Dr. Edward Kanopolus, "Dr. K", is being pressured for results by the pharmaceutical company funding the project. With time running out, tragedy and desperation drive him to make decisions that will jeopardize the lives of everyone around him and ultimately unleash a terrifying monster on a killing spree.

When a family is found slaughtered in their home, the town Marshall and Sheriff must quickly find the mysterious ax murderer before more bodies turn up dead.
