We've scored some cool things over the past few years, but this one really takes the cake! Last night we attended a very special screening of a short film entitled REPO! The Genetic Opera, which was directed by none other than Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, Saw III)! The short is being used as a pitch for a feature length film, which is going to set the world on fire! I seriously haven't seen anything this unique in a long time -- I'd say it's Rocky Horror meets Phantom of the Opera meets The Crow. Can you think of anything cooler? GeneCo's handy payment plans cheat death - for now - but all financed body parts are subject to legal default remedies, including... REPOSSESSION!
For those who can't keep up with their organ payments, collection is the responsibility of ORGAN REPO MEN, skilled assassins contracted by GeneCo - ordered to recover GeneCo's property by any means necessary.
The short film guest stars Shawnee Smith (Saw II, Saw III) and Michael Rooker (Slither).
This opera, soon to be movie, will be the next Rocky Horror Picture Show. People will be lining up at midnite to see this. I have the privilege of knowing the co-writer, and seen the trailer, and it's amazing. Can't wait for the filming to begin!!
