I agree, the book is great. And it describes The lead in great detail, obviously smith does not match any of it. I hope its not going to be another Count of Monte Cristo or Resident Evil Disaster!
I Am Legend is a wonderful book and the original adaptation - Last Man on Earth with Vincent Price - is unspeakably good (I just watched it last night, ironically enough). I don't really see the point in switching the premise to "zombies" (although, as a Pittsburgher, I love ghouls) other than riding the trend. Will Smith COULD be good, I suppose, but I have strong reservations about remaking it.
