Today we posted Loomis7's review for Dimension Films' Black Christmas remake, which is now in theaters everywhere. The question everyone is asking, "is is really THAT bad?" Maybe not... click the link for the review, poster, pics, trailers and more. In Black Christmas a sorority house is terrorized by a killer who makes frightening telephone calls before murdering the sorority sisters during the Christmas break.
Glen Morgan and James Wong, as well as the screenwriter Roy Moore should have their eyes gouged out just like the victims in Black Christmas for ruining one of the best horror films of all time! I cannot express how disappointed and upset I was after watching how they managed to take everything that was so amazing about the original and suck the life out of it with horrid dialogue, atrocious acting (Oliver Hudson, Katie Cassidy and every person from the "Billy backstory," ridiculous murder scenes and god-awful intercutting from the past and present. It is clear to me that this is what happens when you get stuck churning out Final Destination style horror movies, which don't get me wrong I can appreciate their entertainment value, but if anyone involved in the making of this piece of garbage was truly a fan of the original...I certainly couldn't tell. If this review sounds harsh, you'll understand once you see it. Lastly, Bob Clark, where the hell were you when this thing was being put together?
How did they "ruin" the original? I am pretty sure the original is still intact. They might have power, but even Bob and Harvey cannot actually change a film that came out over 30 years ago. If anything it should make you appreciate the original more.
I thought the remake was going to be good even though i have never seen the original. Some people told me that the remake was ok.But honestley..., alot more people have told me the remake sucks!!!
i know i'm a little late but i find it hilarious that billy says roy moore ruined the original...when he wrote the original and had NOTHING to do with the remake.
