I'm a huge Platinum Dunes fan, but out of all the films they've worked on The Hitcher is the one I'm the least excited for. I've got my fingers crossed that this ends up being a diamond in the rough, read on for the first two official pics. Dave Meyers is directing the new film, which tracks the terrifying cross-country trajectory of Grace (Sophia Bush) and Jim (Zachary Knighton), two traveling college students who are tormented by the mysterious hitchhiker John Ryder, a.k.a. The Hitcher (Sean Bean). The film hits theaters February 9th.
