Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release The Covenant (review) on DVD January 2nd, 2007, according to Davis DVD. Based on the graphic novel by Aron Coleite and Tone Rodriguez, The Covenant is the power passed down from generation to generation. But when four boys accidentally unleash an evil force in the process of receiving the powers from their fathers, they must join together to stop it. The supernatural thriller arrives with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. Extras will include an audio commentary with director Renny Harlin and a behind-the-scenes featurette. Retail is $28.95. Also look for a Blu-ray Disc edition day-and-date with a retail of $38.95.
