Horror once again ruled at the boxoffice office, as Sony Pictures' The Grudge 2 took the top spot on Friday, according to the Hollywood Reporter. According to boxoffice tracking site, boxofficemojo.com, the spooky sequel, directed by Takashi Shimuzu and starring Amber Tamblyn took in an estimated $9.7 million in its first day in theaters and finished with an estimated $22 million. The sequel delves into the secrets behind the grudge's wrath and introduces a seemingly unrelated host of new characters who find themselves connected by the curse.
Love Thee Grudge 2. Considering the Japanese myths, fears, and folk lore this film is based around (and not liked by most typical americans for), I don't consider this film even American, but still Japanese with American actors here and there.
This film is honestly, with the first, one of my personal favorites.
